草山位於城門郊野公園，鄰近鉛礦坳，高646米。草山南面連接針山，西北連接大帽山，故登山客多以連走「針、草、帽」為挑戰目標。於山頂可飽覽大埔東北，馬鞍山及九龍群山一帶。此外，其東南近黃竹洋山脊有著名石景「交叉石」(又名試劍石)，石上被深深地劃上一道交叉痕跡，頗具特色。
Grassy Hill is located at Shing Mun Country Park, near to Lead Mine Pass. It is 646m high. It connects to Needle Hill at the southern side, and connects to Tai Mo Shan at northern west side. It offers splendid views of Northern East Tai Po, Ma On Shan and Kowloon Peninsula. At the northern east Grassy Hill near Wong Chuk Yeung’s ridge, there is a special stone called‘X Stone’.
